The SolderJaw SJ-1 adapts seamlessly to both through-hole and surface mount components, offering unparalleled versatility. Whether you're working on a solderable breadboard or a custom PCB, the SJ-1's innovative design ensures a secure hold without the hassle of bulky vises or flimsy helping hand devices.

The SJ-1 comes with a selection of specialized tips designed to handle various component shapes and sizes. Easily switch between tips optimized for holding IC packages, pin headers, resistors, and more by simply loosening a screw securing the tips in place.

Board Compatibility

  • 0.5 to 3.6 inch board width
  • 1 inch tall components

The SJ-1 features adjustable jaws that accommodate board widths ranging from 0.5 to 3.6 inches (12 - 92 mm), making it ideal for a wide range of projects. Its clamp extends up to 1 inch (25 mm), effortlessly securing even the tallest components during soldering.

Built to Last

SolderJaw SJ-1 is constructed from lightweight and scratch resistant anodized 7075 aluminum. The ergonomic handle and smooth sliding mechanism are constructed from Nylon, ensuring durability and ease of use over countless projects. Teflon board clamps and tips provide heat resistance and protects delicate components from damage during soldering.

Using the SolderJaw SJ-1

Loosen the component clamp thumb screw and secure it up and out of the way

Loosen and slide the board clamp to secure it to the desired side of the board

Align the desired component(s) to the indication grooves in the jaws

Tighten the thumb screw on the board clamp while maintaining pressure with your thumb

Slide the component clamp over and onto the component(s) and tighten the thumb screw

Place on the table and solder the underside of the PCB or solderable breadboard
